How can I become a vendor with AMS and sell my handmade things?

We're glad you asked! We would LOVE to have you submit an application to become a vendor with AMS. We have a jury process whereby we select vendors to participate in certain events over the course of a year with us. When selected, you'll have the opportunity to join one of our "Departments" (think of it like an artisan department store!) and then you'll be able to start reserving your spot in our posted events. As a vendor, you'll be invited to our monthly Town Hall's where we discuss opportunities in our area and elsewhere. It all starts with an application! Submit one here today!

What kind of items are allowed? Not allowed?

This is largely dependent on the events were are hosting or invited to. For instance, though we have many artisans in our collective that make artisan foods, not all the events we participate in will allow food. So, we've created a way for you to participate regardless of what you sell by creating 'Departments' - based on what you make, you'll be eligible to bring us your items if your department is open for the event.

There are a few items that we are not able to accept at this time including: handmade cosmetics or skin care products, craft or artisan alcoholic beverages, any cannabis or CBD products. These products will be rejected during our jury process and may impact your membership elgibility.

How does it work?

See all those bins there in the picture to your right? You too can have a bin! Once your application is reviewed and you are accepted as a member, you'll be included in all our updates and monthly Town Hall meetings. You'll have access to our Vendor Portal and be able to browse our upcoming events and specials. Then, you'll be able to see which events will be ideal for your product(s). As you sign up for an event, we'll give you information on how to deliver your product(s) to us, either at our storage unit or at the venue. We'll tag your product(s) and get them into a bin! As we travel with your bin to the show, you'll know that your products are tracked and you get to sit back and watch your sales on the day of the event. That's pretty much how it works!

Do I have to attend these events or is it optional?

Attending the events is completely optional! Our mission here is to give you an opportunity to scale your business. We do this by creating these types of venues to give you exposure and a way for your products to be in multiple places at once! So you can be a craft show AND one of our events on the same weekend and not worry about it, earning sales from both venues whether you are there or not!

Of course we would also love to have you join us at these events and we always need the help. Our events are not your typical craft show however and we will not be setting you up with a table to sell your items. Your attendance at one of our events means that you'll advocate for all the artists, help shoppers find what they're looking for, and assist us with setup and tear down of the event itself. It's fun, energizing, and we have a fantastic time together as artisans helping each other succeed!

How much does it cost?

We operate like a membership club. Your monthly fees give you privileges in our membership and earn you credits towards our different events. Some events are bigger and more expensive, and others are smaller and less expensive, it just basically depends. Your membership determines your contract with us and therefore the amount that you earn per sale. We have commission-based memberships and non-commission based memberships too! So, you'll be able to pick a model that works for you, your finances, and your schedule. Visit the Vendors page for more information about how our membership packages are structured.

What is an AMS Event like to attend?

We are NOT your typcial craft show! No booths, no pushy selling, no poorly made products! Instead, we have curated items that are high quality and we stage them throughout a space so that shoppers can take their basket and casually browse and select from the items they like. We always bring our single checkout system with us so that every item is scanned and tracked and each artists gets the proper sale credit.

Each of our shows is a unique experience because as much as we love selling these things, we celebrate MAKING even more! We always feature a make and take interactive activity. Whenever we can we like to have artists demonstrate their craft to shoppers for the entertainment. We play music and have live entertainment as often as possible as well.
